Where?

Tressa was born in Yorba Linda, California. After living in England, Canada, and France, she eventually landed in Kirkland, Washington, where she now lives with her husband and her dog, (more like a cloud), Simba.

What led to Performance Coaching?

Tressa grew up playing tennis, soccer, softball, kickboxing, cross-country, and rowing crew. Whether playing or being a spectator, she lived for the comradery, competition, and emotional highs that sports brought.

She has always loved the feeling of seeing practice and goals come to fruition, and she now enjoys seeing that same process with all of her clients. When she was 11 years old, her Dad told her he would give her $1 for every additional soccer juggle she could get in order to help her improve her touch on the ball (her record was 10 in a row at the time). After a couple days of practicing for hours on end, she got to 235 juggles. That was the last time her Dad used money as an incentive…

Previous experience in performance coaching?

This love of sports and human performance eventually led Tressa to the field of Sport Psychology. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Chapman University as a double major in Psychology and French, and went on to receive her Master’s and Doctoral Degree from Northwest University in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology. Tressa has been working as an Elite Performance Coach since 2012, with her experience spanning from High School athletes all the way to Collegiate, NBA, National and Olympic athletes. Since starting out with athletes, she has since expanded her performance clientele to U.S. Army Soldiers, as well as business performance coaching, such as financial traders and sales reps.

Tressa believes every client has unlocked potential, and finds purpose and meaning in helping them discover it

Tressa believes every client has unlocked potential, and finds purpose and meaning in helping them discover it. The excitement that comes from helping a client reach success or have a “game-changing” moment where a new technique helps them dramatically alter their performance is truly unmatched, and she draws energy and motivation from finding that moment with a client.

Likes and loves?

In her spare time, Tressa enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her husband and dog, painting, and experiencing minor heart palpitations while cheering on the Seahawks.

Tressa firmly believes that no goal is too extraordinary and your best days are always ahead of you, and she loves helping to bring that mentality to the forefront for anyone who becomes her client.
