Dr. Rachel Wilson

Watch their story

Where?

Rachel was born and raised in the greater Seattle area, where she now resides with her family of six.

Philosophy on success?

Rachel feels every obstacle we encounter is an opportunity to learn and grow. At times, these obstacles may feel like climbing a mountain, a daunting and overwhelming task. However, Rachel feels it is all about perspective, and when she helps clients break these tasks down into monthly, weekly, and hourly goals, the task then transforms into something entirely within reach. While this takes discipline, resilience, organization, and belief, Rachel believes with proper direction and guidance, all individuals can successfully achieve their goals, and she feels confident in getting any client to the top of their own personal mountain.

Previous experience in performance coaching?

Rachel has spent most of her adult life mentoring, counseling, and leading others to success, which has now turned into a thriving career as both a private practice therapist, and an elite performance coach. Rachel draws a lot of her energy and fulfillment from elevating others to be their absolute best, particularly through leading by example.

When in her 30s, with four young children the ages of 3, 5, 6, and 8, (are you exhausted just from reading that?) she wanted to model to her children the possibility of achieving one of the highest academic goals, no matter how daunting. Therefore, she made the decision to go to grad school, eventually obtaining her Doctorate in Psychology, all while raising four young children, finding healthy life and relationships balance, and competing in multiple CrossFit competitions in the process.

Rachel has taken on mentorship and coaching roles with many who have approached her and felt inspired by seeing her live out her values. Through her work as a therapist and performance coach, Rachel has found performance coaching is most effective when it is a collaborative effort, with an emphasis on balancing one’s life and managing stress. She loves using a variety of evidence-based approaches, as well as approaches rooted in life experience, in order to change the brain to help clients shift their mindset. She believes success is giving energy to small daily activities, choosing progress over self-indulgence.

Likes and loves?

The Pacific Northwest has been an ideal place for her to grow up, contributing sufficiently to her hobbies of hiking, running (six completed Marathons), CrossFit, and general physical fitness (Yes, even in the rain).
